Week 4

july 3rd - july 11
this week has flown by like the others. We celebrated the Fourth of July here with a fiesta at the church, we all brought in snacks and celebrated. We danced and sang. Later that week on the 6th, I ran with other students before school at 7 am. It was nice to do something after basically nothing the past month. A group of students have been running together before school since the first week but this week I just started. I also ran in the morning the following day. We run along the coast and the sky is really cool with the sun rising. Thursday Germany lost to France and Alex was a little bit sad. Our Thursday surprise this week was to go watch Finding Dory, or Buscando a Dory. It was optional, so instead myself and some other guys went to the mall and hanged out. I bought a oreo mcflurry with manjar sauce on top. Friday was the beginning of our three day excursion to la Serena, 7 hours north of Vina del Mar. When we arrived we went to beach, and I played a little bit of beach soccer with others. That night when we arrived myself and the other guys wanted an Asado, or BBQ. We bought the food at a local Lider (Wal-Mart). The Asado was super fun and the hotel  was really cool. The next day we went to an observatory. It was really cool. Then for lunch we went to a special restaurant where they use sunlight to cook their food. I had lamb and mashed potatoes and it was delicious. That night we were supposed to go to another observatory to look at the stars but it was cloudy so instead we went to the circus. It was a little sketchy and all the students and I were sceptical but it turned out to be really fun time. That night we did another Asado but this time with all the students. It was another great night. Each night in the Serena we played cards as well which was fun. Sunday we went to Japanese Garden in the Serena. It was cool and relaxing. We returned to Vina at 8. Today we had classes, theater and sports. Only 11 days here left, wow.

  1. Jesper! Vilkem häftoh vecka du har haft. Jogging tidigt på morgonen längs med kusten i Vina, måste ha varit väldigt vackert. Grillning/ asana, besök i Serena, fotboll, circus mm.
